Ed Lentz, local historian and Director Emeritus of Columbus Landmarks, will give a Zoom presentation on historic preservation in Columbus, Ohio. Ed will look at preservation in Columbus as it has been proposed and practiced over the years. Ed holds a degree in history from Princeton University. He served as Executive Director of Columbus Landmarks twice, and in his most recent tenure worked to advocate for African American landmarks including the remaining two buildings of Poindexter Village; the Franklin Park Medical Center; and the Theresa and Edna buildings on Long Street.
As Ed puts it: "Much has been saved. Much has been lost. Much remains to be done."
